I'm Candela, a General Health Psychologist (licence no. M-45198).
I came to psychology with the idea that, very often, we don't need someone to tell us what to do, but a space where we can stop, make sense of what's happening to us and understand ourselves a little better.
For me, therapy has a lot to do with that: being able to talk about what is sometimes hard to put into words, looking at our story from a little more distance and starting to understand why we do, feel or repeat certain things.
I work from an integrative perspective, with a particularly systemic and relational approach. I'm interested in the person, but also in their relationships, their history and the context they're living in. Because what happens to us often makes sense when we look at it within everything we've been through.
I don't believe in one-size-fits-all formulas. Everyone arrives in a different way, which is why we build the process together.
My role isn't to judge you, give you quick answers or tell you how you should live your life. It's to accompany you as you explore what's going on, ask you questions, help you connect some of the pieces and find resources that make sense to you.
You can bring whatever is happening to you. You don't need to have it clear or know how to explain it perfectly.
Not everything has to be solved in a hurry. Therapy is also about learning to listen to what you need.
We are much more than what happens inside us. Our relationships, experiences and circumstances are also part of our story.
There is no single right way to be well. Together we'll look for what can help you and what you'd like to do differently.
